The Dime Dime Baby Trend, Explained

The original clip from 2025

The video comes from TikTok creator @eve.el.cholo. He posted it on 24 July 2025, and it's pinned on his profile as "El video original". It was filmed in the party hall at a quinceañera, the XV años celebration, and it has been watched millions of times.

It's a horizontal clip a little over nine seconds long, and the whole joke fits inside it:

• 0–2 s: he dances across the hall toward the camera.
• 2–3.5 s: he stops in front of the camera and takes a bite of a pink concha, a Mexican sweet bread.
• 3.5–5.5 s: in close-up, he chews and stares straight into the camera.
• 5.5–6.5 s: he turns around.
• 6.5–9 s: with his back to the camera, he dances back into the crowd.

BbY WOW and the "dime dime baby" line

BbY WOW is a song by KAROL G, Judeline and rusowsky. It came out on 7 August 2026 and reached number one on Spotify's global daily chart on 28 August.

"Dime dime baby" is a line from that song. In October 2026 the quinceañera clip went viral a second time, set to that line. Tutorial captions describe it the same way: the old video blew up again with KAROL G's BbY WOW.

If you search the phrase, you'll also find short clips from early October of people dancing to the song. That's a separate trend. The Dime Dime Baby trend on this page is the concha clip.

The AI versions and the CapCut template wave

In mid-October 2026 an AI version took off: the same hall and the same moves, with a man in a cowboy hat dancing in. Its first 9 seconds follow the original beat for beat. After that it adds about 6 seconds that aren't in the original clip.

Within a day or two, tutorials followed showing how to make your own with a CapCut template. Many of them are in Spanish, and the most watched have millions of views. Their captions retell the scene in a line: a guy dances at a quinceañera in Mexico, eats a pan dulce, stares at the camera and keeps dancing as if nothing happened.

In the cowboy version, the hall, the soft light and the guests behind the dancer match the original. The frame is vertical and a little wider, so the dancer is in full view.

Other names for the Dime Dime Baby trend

Tutorial captions and hashtags use several names for the same clip:

• BbY WOW AI, or the BbY WOW guy
• La mirada preñadora, from the creator's TikTok display name, El de la Mirada Preñadora ("mirada" means look or stare)
• The concha guy, or in Spanish, meme de la concha and meme del pan dulce
• Guy dancing at a quinceañera
• Dime dime baby AI, for the AI versions

How to join the Dime Dime Baby trend

Most people use the CapCut template from a tutorial: you take the template link from the post, open it in CapCut and add your photo. Our guide to making a Dime Dime Baby AI video goes through every way, step by step.

The other way is to upload one photo here. You can use a photo of yourself or of an adult who agreed. Photos of children or celebrities aren't allowed. About 5 minutes later you get a 9-second vertical MP4 in 720p or 480p with no watermark. Videos come in one-time packs from $4.99, with no subscription.

The file is silent, so the last step happens on TikTok. Tap Add sound, search "dime dime baby" or "BbY WOW" and pick the official sound. Posting with that sound is what puts your video in the trend.
